Cover your eyes. No, I mean your ears. Brace yourself:
Gov. Rendell, Mayor Nutter and two of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s top aides yesterday blasted Barack Obama’s campaign for allegedly diminishing and disrespecting Pennsylvania’s presidential primary.
OMG! What did the Obama campaign do? Did it say the Pennsylvania presidential primary is meaningless? Undemocratic? Unfair? Stupid? Too Quaker?
In a national conference call with reporters, the foursome pointed to a memorandum written by Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, that referred to Pennsylvania as “only one of ten remaining contests.”
Did Plouffe count wrong? There really are only 1o contests left, including Pennsylvania, right? Pennsylvania is a big state that usually votes Democratic, I get that, but do the citizens of Pennsylvania think Pennsylvania is actually two or more states instead of one?
DSB, it’s only because you are a man that you are insensitive to the history of oppression of Pennsylvania’s Presidential Primary. If you can’t manage to find the diminishment and disrespect in those comments, I’m certainly not going to point them out to you.
No, I’m too angry to remain silent. I will point them out to you: do you realize how long the Pennsylvania Presidential Primary has been regarded as nothing other one of ten remaining contests? Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps Pennsylvania’s Presidential Primary has it’s own unique identity and might be capable of more than simply occupying the space between the first of 11 remaining contests and the first of 9 remaining contests just so that you can have the luxury of counting remaining contests? The Pennsylvania Presidential Primary happens to be alliterative, just for starters, but you and the other P.P.P.-disrespecting Obama supporters can’t seem to see past the surface.
