took over
decided who to cut
from the team

they took back what they said
made good
on their wrongs
I thought I made them

my loving hand
laid down the law
and I never saw
the bullet coming
my body got tossed
like an afterthought
my good intentions
my blueprints
used for packing paper
in the boxes of trophies
they wheeled away
