G Bitch to Sixth District NOPD: I live on the street where the shooting was Sunday and there’s a bullet in my neighbor’s wall.
Sixth District to G Bitch: Well, the scene has already been processed so we don’t need it but if your neighbor needs something, like for insurance or something, she can call and have an officer come out to write a report. All right?
G Bitch: All right. Thank you.

I stopped an officer while walking the dog yesterday and asked him the deal about the bullet. He said so many shots were fired that police had more than enough evidence to support the charges. They know there are uncollected bullets out there. They essentially reached a saturation point with bullets as evidence.
Where is that bullet? It’s got to be around here somewhere.
Oh, there it is.
The police are here to get the bullet. Apparently the neighbor whose porch pillar now has a bullet hole in it (2, actually–in/out) raised the issue at a public meeting with the police. The officers today gave me perplexed looks when I said that the police yesterday were not interested in the bullet.
The detective declared the bullet “perfect,” as in not degraded, thus good for evidence.
