Here’s the screenshot of Barack Obama’s NowDoThis page when he woke up this morning:
(garfield minus garfield via 3quarksdaily via Suspect Device) garfield minus garfield is a site dedicated to removing Garfield from the Garfield comic strips in order to reveal the existential angst of a certain young Mr. Jon Arbuckle. It is a journey deep in the mind…
We took a drive over to the Chalmette Battlefield to get a look at the River. Sure enough, splotches of fuel oil #6 had been deposited along the shoreline. Didn’t see any endangered wildlife. But some boats are moving through …
When I listen to the radio I’m pretty much always tuned to community radio, usually WWOZ or much less frequently WTUL. I accept that the range of music will be wide and not always to my liking (more New Orleans jazz and funk, thank you…
I try to vote for Bobby Jindal as much as I can. Not real votes, of course, just those online polls asking if he should be John McCain’s choice for VP. It’s part entertainment value, part desire to see him flounder on the national stage….
G Bitch and I will be there Saturday morning. I’ll be working two cameras to be sure I effectively document the fate of Michael Homan. Update: Alas, I got there late and without G Bitch. I did see Homan, and though he mentioned the heat…

I don’t watch much baseball anymore (okay, hardly/if any), but even I know this is embarrassing in the extreme: LSU had scored a run and had the bases loaded but UC Irvine second baseman Casey Stevenson snuffed the rally by pulling the hidden ball trick…
I’ll provide more impressions tomorrow, but here’s video of me asking McCain if he would debate in New Orleans: … and here’s his whole speech: … meanwhile, I appear briefly tonight as Mister at the G Bitch Spot.
