When she stepped up to the dais, Clinton too remembered the harrowing Balkan adventure. “I remember landing under sniper fire,” she recalled. She and her retinue were then sent “running with our heads down to our vehicles.”
Her courageous fellow travelers for that 1996 trip included her daughter, Chelsea — oh, and singer Sheryl Crow, plus comedian Sinbad.
I never felt that I was in a dangerous position. I never felt being in a sense of peril, or “Oh, God, I hope I’m going to be OK when I get out of this helicopter or when I get out of his tank.”
I think the only “red-phone” moment was: “Do we eat here or at the next place.”
Hillary is one photo op away from:
Does anyone wonder why Republicans have started to vote for Hillary in larger numbers?
The (Boston) Globe notes that the Republican share of the vote in Texas, Ohio and Mississippi was higher than it had been in previous Democratic races, and Hillary Clinton’s share of their vote also increased dramatically in the exit polls. The paper also describes it as “possible, though perhaps unlikely” that mischievous crossover voters delivered a win to Hillary in the Texas primary — she received an estimated 119,000 GOP voters there, with an overall margin of victory of around 101,000.
Good god. She’s like George Bush in his flight suit.
This is the thing. I’ve always been aware that what she says is always exactly what she thinks prospective voters or other potential benefactors want to hear, and it’s been that way since way before she ran for Senate. Well, she’s a politician, so what, I thought. Now it’s *really* starting to occur to me that HRC the human is so deeply buried that I doubt even HRC knows that person. And that scares the shit out of me.
OBAMA FOR PRESADENT BITCHES!
