Yesterday I drove south into Franklin County to check on some friends who live near the town of Phil Campbell, Alabama. Phil Campbell was one of many towns and cities across the South devastated by Wednesday’s tornados.
Their house was undamaged, but they weren’t home. I left them a note. On my way home I shot a brief video (there’s no sound) of the tornado’s path. I was two or three miles east of Phil Campbell,
where 26 people were killed Wednesday.
Always amazed and grateful to enjoy yet another day on the surface of the planet. Tornadoes, lightning bolts, car wrecks, and cancer continue to show no signs of weakness.
That looks like footage from a war zone. I hope your friends are OK.
