In mid August I began recording techno / ambient / electronic music at the rate of about a new song every 2 days. It continued for 4 months. The project was called Droning Keyboard Group. Over time I got a few thousand plays on Spotify, a TINY amount of radio airplay in German, Belgium, and the US. Nothing ever came of it, but, man, was it fun. For a few pals around the universe I sent free downloads of 7 albums worth of material, and for my older pals (you know, like me) I burned CDs with enigmatic titles and about 45 minutes of indescribably bonks and beeps.

In college, in the late 70s, I would listen to Tangerine Dream and Jean Michel Jarre on my giant Radio Shack headphones, but I had lost touch with electronic music for most of my adult life. So I don’t know what exactly took me back to this music after 40 years.

I also made 65 hodge-podge videos, some very modest and dark, and some like this one for a tune called Free, a bit more ambitious. I use royalty-free stock video from sites like Pexels.com, and occasionally donate money via PayPal to the filmmakers who make the raw material available to pudknockers like me. My favorite folks to work with are in St. Petersburg, Russia, and I never hesitate to recommend them.
